Smiley-faced Toby is a lively, happy boy who is a big bundle of fun. Even at seven years of age, Toby is still full of energy and will need an active owner who can give him plenty of exercise. Toby absolutely loves people, and always wants lots of fuss and attention. He responds very well to training, provided there are no other distractions! Toby's recall is good and he knows the commands 'sit', 'stay' and 'down'. He does need teaching how to walk nicely on the lead but as he reacts very favourably to verbal praise, and loves toys and treats, that aspect of his training should be relatively straightforward. Toby will need to be the only pet in the home and, because of his bounciness, we would recommend a home where there are no young children. Toby is good in the house and can be left for short periods. He is also used to travelling on public transport. Toby can be quite reactive towards other dogs so will need an experienced owner who can work with him to help him overcome that behaviour. Our Branch behaviourist will be able to offer help and advice with that.
