Maggie is great example of an Akita and would someone who understands the breed. She shows her affection in subtle ways and she can be playful, but also enjoys her cuddles. Through no fault of her own, she has spent a long time in kennels and may take a bit of readjusting to be back in a home environment. Her kennels is generally clean, so although house training will be needed, we think that she should readily understand it. Although Maggie has previously lived with another dog, we are recommending that she goes home as an only dog. She cannot be rehomed with cats. We are recommending older children or no children. She loves a kennel full of cuddly toys and can walk nicely, but can also pull at times.
