Meet the team at Milnthorpe Kennels ​and Cattery

Chris Norman 
Qualified in Animal Care and has previous experience working for Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester. Chris has a natural ability with animals, with his calm approach he is able to win over even the most difficult of animals. Chris has grown up with a variety of animals including German Shepherd Cross, Bull Terrier Cross, Irish Wolf Hound, English Bull Terrier, Tortoises, Parrot, Canary, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Terrapins, Tropical and Cold Water Fish and a Jackdaw.
Stella Milnthorpe Kennels and Cattery
Stella Norman 
Qualified in Cat and Dog Grooming. Hygiene, Human Nutrition and Food Legislation. Has previous experience working in the food industry auditing quality and food safety. Using her management experience and training in achieving high standards of quality she has applied this to the setting up and running of the Kennels and Cattery. Stella has grown up on an organic small holding where she developed her passion for animals and cared for Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Guinea Fowl, Peacocks, Turkeys, Cows, Pigs, Goat, Sheep, Border Collie, Cats, Guinea Pigs and her own Pony.
Our family & pets

Chris and Stella have three children now adults.  

Currently Chris and Stella have Troy a rescue Golden Retriever and Iris the Great Dane. 

​Previously the family have had a German Shepherd, three Great Danes, a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, a British Shorthair cat, An African Grey Parrot, Guinea pigs, Geese, Chickens, Guinea fowl, Turkeys, Sheep, Hamsters, a Snake, Tropical and cold water fish.

Erin Having completed A levels at school, Erin joined us full time, but continued her education gained her NVQ in Animal Care level 3 at Kendal College, along side her work with us. Erin has been working for many years before becoming full time. She adopted Layla the Lurcher from us during that time and Layla comes to work with her most days.
From a family with a love for all animals, the lost and injured were often featured in Erin's upbringing and still find their way to her now!
Erin is now a supervisor. 
Milnthorpe Kennels and Cattery Erin
Stacy came to us with a Level 3 qualification in Animal Care and a Level 2 in Grooming. She has worked in animal shelters, dog daycare and a dog groomer. She has rabbits (Merlin, Gordon, Snowy, Mable and Bounty hunter) and four dogs (Amber, Kyra, Misty (shown above) and Bobby. Amber was rescued from us with a significant foot injury. She also has three cats (Pepsi, Midnight and Blade). Stacy is now a supervisor.

Ethan has started with us as an apprentice. He has now completed his NVQ level2.  Ethan has done volunteering at a local petting farm for three years. He has previously had gold fish and loves to spend time with family dogs including Simba and Dyson the German Shepherds,  Tess & Leo the Patterdale, Jasper the Border Collie Buddy the Labrador and Tilly the Border Terrier.

Alex After gaining Animal Care qualifications level 2 and level 3. Alex went on to gain a degree in Zoo Management at Chester University. Alex has worked for the RSPB and worked in a zoo. He has extra qualifications as a Marine Mammal Medic volunteer. Alex has a spaniel called Loki and has three cats : Ninja, Princess and the attack Potato.

Nikki Has qualifications in Animal Management level 3 and Animal Welfare and Business Management.  She has worked in a zoo, a petting farm. She has worked in Animal care for over 11 years.  She has also done photography and helps us from time to time with the rescue photos. She has a dachshund cross rescue called Bodhi and a rescue cat Chloe.
